MARISSA SCAROLA is our Office Manager at Holtz Psychological Services. Marissa currently attends SUNY Stonybrook where she majors in Psychology. She plans on pursuing an advanced degree in Psychology at Adelphi University. Marissa wants to be a School Psychologist. At Holtz Psychological Services, Marissa schedules appointments for all of our Therapists, handles all insurance claims and questions, is responsible for records, receipts, initial intakes and insurance precertification, payroll, and almost everything else. She is the first person to ask if you have any questions. She is in the office every weekday morning.
ADAM RUSSO has been providing Psychological Evaluation and Assessment and Psychotherapy services for over fifteen years. He works with children ages five and above, adolescents, adults and couples. Adam’s background includes training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Gestalt Therapy and Hypnosis. Adam is also a Level II Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner and has expertise in the treatment of Eating Disorders and ADHD. Prior to joining Holtz Psychological Services, Adam was in private practice and was affiliated with both St. Francis Hospital and The Department of Veterans Affairs. Adam has office hours weekdays, weekends, mornings, days, and evenings.
DR. BARRY DONOWITZ received his PhD in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University in 1992, completed his undergraduate work at Binghamton University and has been licensed as a Psychologist since 1994. Dr. Donowitz has provided Psychological services to a wide variety of individuals in several inpatient and outpatient settings. His past employment includes Southeast Nassau Guidance Center, Port Jefferson Psychological and Vocational Associates, United Cerebral Palsy of Suffolk (UCP), and Family Residences and Essential Enterprises (FREE). Dr. Donowitz has been with Holtz Psychological Services for five years where he has provided individual, couples and family therapy as well as Psychological evaluation for children, adolescents and adults. Dr. Donowitz has office hours Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
CHRISTINA ANANIADIS, MA, LMFT-P holds a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hofstra University as well as an advanced degree in Divorce Mediation. She works with couples, individuals and families. Christina also has experience working with adolescents and has facilitated a teen women’s group focusing on self/body-image and self-esteem. She addresses issues such as anxiety, depression, stress management and improving coping skills. Christina currently runs two women’s groups and one teen group for Holtz Psychological Services. She has office hours on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
AUDREY WEISSMAN, MD is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with specialties in Allergies, Asthma, Sinus Disease and Immunology. She provides medical services for patients on a bi-weekly basis and generally has appointments on Fridays or Sundays.
